Some 30 athletic club runners braved the severe cold on Saturday for a practice run over the championship distances of their various section's in readiness for the Lancashire cross-country championships next Saturday.
Those who turned up are to be congratulated but should keep in mind the fact that sometimes on a fine, warm day the Club has difficulty in fielding a complete team.
Today Wallasey have a friendly return fixture against Wirral A.C. at Leasowe Road., first event 3 p.m.
If conditions improve and Wallasey members turn out in full force they should be able to use this event as further practice for the championships as Wirral have several runners capable of setting a fast pace.
