Boundary Harriers whose golden jubilee is this year were hosts for the annual monstre meet of the West Lancashire Cross-Country Association held at their headquarters at Old Roan last Saturday afternoon, when over 50 seniors and novices took part in a run which ended in the traditional mile break races.
Denis Dickinson, of Wallasey Athletic Club, showed up well and was only beaten by K. Burns of Pembroke and P. Arnot, of Liverpool Harriers. The prizes were presented by Ernie Roderick, the boxer.
This Saturday afternoon at Leasowe, Wallasey Athletic Club members will run against the clock over a 3-mile a handicap, following which the team for
Birkenhead Road Relay Race will be chosen.
Next Thursday and Friday evenings champion weight-lifters from Wallasey Athletic Club are appearing on the stage at the Gaumont Cinema in a demonstration of the iron game.
