A. F. Howard third in boy’s race
Last Saturday members of Wallasey A.C. travelled to Warrington to compete in the H.S. Finney Trophy race. In addition to the senior race which was for teams of twelve runners with eight to score, there was also a boys’ race and youth race.

Wallasey runner wins district championship
The first of the Liverpool & District Cross-Country Championships, held last Saturday produced the some unexpected results. The course was over slightly undulating parkland at Wavertree Playground. Four championships were held for boys, youths, juniors and seniors.

Wallasey A.C. in close match with Port Sunlight
Over a snowbound course at Port Sunlight, Wallasey A.C. enjoyed a closely contested match with the Port Sunlight club. Lack of numbers on both side, due to the weather, robbed the fixture of much of much of its interest, but to those hardier members who braved the elements the event was thoroughly enjoyable.

The Cheshires (with 5 Wallasey runners) Win Army championship
Five members of Wallasey Athletic Club, all National Service men, helped to make Army sporting history on Friday of last week, when the team representing the Depot, The Cheshire Regiment, won the Army cross-country championship – the first time that any Depot team has won an Army championship in any sport.

In a recent match at Waterloo, Wallasey Athletic Club lost to Waterloo A.C. by twenty-five points to seventeen. Wallasey took first and second places in the boys’ 100 yards with A. McTeer and A. Ferris, time 11.2 seconds.

Fine performances by Wallasey Athletic Club
Wallasey Athletic Club contested a match with Sefton Harriers at Leasowe Road on Thursday last week, and won by 43 points to 32. Some of Wallasey's performances were encouraging and by the season's end, competition for the club's championship should be very keen.

Wallasey athletes successes in Lever trophy events
Wallasey A.C. competed in the Lever Trophy at Port Sunlight Oval last Saturday with the following individual results: - Carl Gee won the discus event with a throw of 120 ft. 1 in.; and Ray Owen was placed third with 106 ft. 7 ins.
