Harriers finish tenth
Wallasey Athletic Club palled on Saturday to the Liverpool Harriers first and second place, well ahead of the field. They finished tenth out of 18 starts in the Sefton Park Road Relay.

Relay Race
The Cheshire mens' 18 mile relay starting at Egremont on Saturday was won by Manchester Athletic Club. In a time of one hour 23 minutes and five seconds. Wallasey Athletic Club came sixth behind Winsford A.C., Wirral A.C., East Cheshire Harriers and Wirral A.C. 'B' team.

Athletic club’s relay hey day
Despite the obviousness of the football final being on the same day there were many creditable performances at Saturday's inter-club at Woodchurch. Organised by Wallasey Athletic Club we were hosts to members from Southport, Wirral and Chester Athletic Clubs. The track, despite the previous two days heavy rainfall was in excellent condition and fully marked out and our thanks must go to the ground staff for their hard work in achieving this.

Boys’ race features in athletics events
There's a fair smattering of athletics events in the festival starting on Wednesday, June 4 with the Birkenhead Park Five Mile Road Race, with a boys section at 7 p.m. and the senior section at 7.30 p.m.
