County Champions

The smiling faces of Julie Halfpenny, Barbara Banks, Margaret Ashcroft and Sue Lloyd, champion members of Wallasey Athletic Club.

Last Saturday they ran for the women's cross-country team at Winsford and ended up winners of the women's county crosscountry championships.

And it was a personal triumph for Margaret who became the holder of the senior title, finishing 15 seconds ahead of the field.
