Athletic notes

While seniors and juniors had a fast run over 8 miles on Saturday the W.A.C. team for the West Lancs. novice completed their preparation for today’s race by putting in some brisk work over a four mile road course.

Although club hopes of being placed in this championship have received a setback by the unexpected ineligibility J.Lynch and A. Lilley the team are fit and hope to give a creditable performance. The team is R. McCaig (captain), A. Clarke, R. Scamell, J. Winrow, K. Cockshott , W. J. Johnston, and D. B. Johnston.

The Cheshire County Championships will be held next Saturday at Northwich when W.A.C. will be represented in both the senior and the youth race.
