These Mob Runs are held each season to provide competition for Merseyside clubs in preparation for the area and national championships and with this in mind the distance for the second and third run is increased to approximately 6 and 7 miles respectively. All these runs last season were won by Wallasey but without John Wright today they may well be hard pressed to pack their first six counting runners in before, those of Pembroke and Liverpool Harriers.
Changing accommodation is at St. James Church Hall, Church Road, Woolton, which can be reached by Nos. 4, 5 and 73 Corporation or H19 and H20 Crosville buses.
