Wallasey Athletic Club held a training run from the cross-country quarters last Saturday, three packs turning out. J. M. Rimmer and R. F. Hubbard of the fast pack, were in good form and carried the brunt of the pace-making with J. A. Richardson and R. E. Young always going well.
The youths (under 18) section was out over three miles of country and shore, under their enthusiastic captain, A. Simpson; who kept this pack well together.
A joint fixture list and membership card is in the printers' hands and members will receive the cards within a few days. Wallasey Athletic Club are due to compete in no less than five open cross-country championships during the season, a programme which demands a very high level of fitness.
The club hon. sec. R. F. Hubbard, 39 Beech Road, Birkenhead, telephone, Birkenhead 8550, will be pleased at all times to hear from anyone interested in athletics both actively and in a non-active capacity.
