Fifteen teams representing thirteen clubs will take part in the West Lancashire Novice Cross-Country Championship over a 4½ miles course at Preston this Saturday.
Sutton Harriers, National Cross-Country Champions, have entered two teams, as also have Wallasey A.C., who won this championship last year, and the issue may well rest between these two clubs. W. R. Bee, runner-up in last season's Wallasey Cross-Country Championship, will captain the Wallasey 'A' team of seven runners, whilst club hon. secretary R. F. Hubbard leads the 'B' team.
Providing the Wallasey runners can reproduce the form shown in training there is every reason to believe the Finney Challenge Bowl will remain in Wallasey and the local club will also have the first man home in W. R. Bee.
