Finishing 446th in a race would upset many people, but not Wallasey man John Cottrell.
John took part in the London Marathon and his time of two hours 37 minutes was an improvement on last year when he finished 610th.
John, 42, of St. Nicolas Road, is a member of Wallasey Athletic Club and ran to raise funds for the Royal Liverpool Children's Hospital and hopes their Cardiac Appeal will benefit by about £150 as a result.
Leasowe Youth & Community Centre expects to be £250 better off after two local men ran in the same race.
Richard McKie and Steve Roberts both completed the course in personal best times, Richard in 3 hours 32 minutes with Steve crossing the finishing line a few minutes ahead.
The men took other members of the Leasowe club with them to spend an exciting weekend of sightseeing and running the capital.
