Last Saturday Wirral Athletic Club were hosts for the Western Trophy Inter-Schools meeting.
Les Watcham running for Gorsedale Secondary School ran very well over the undulating 2 mile course to be placed third in 12 minutes 7 seconds, only 6 seconds behind the winner I. Bradshaw of Wirral Grammar School. Calday Grammar took the team prize with 26 points.
The first mob run over the country will be held at Woolton, Liverpool Harriers headquarters, today. Members of Wallasey club are asked to meet at the Victoria Monument, at the top of James Street, Liverpool, at 1.30 p.m. The bus to catch is the No. 4 and members should book to | Woolton Village. The first race is at 2.30 p.m.
