Last Saturday Wallasey ran against Waterloo, at Crosby, and were just pipped for second place against the other rival club, Preston Harriers.
Wallasey really won this match, but Waterloo claimed that youths did not count and Wallasey's team had to take third place. If all of Wallasey's senior members had turned up the club would have won without default.
Results were: 1st Waterloo 61 pts., 2nd Preston 69 pts., 3rd Wallasey 71 pts.
To-day, Wallasey meet Pembroke Harriers & C.C. at Leasowe Road. There will be the usual races, juniors and seniors race in the league match. Other members not running will be required to work on the course. A good turnout is requested.
