Peter White finished in 30th position in last Saturday's inter-county race at Rugby.
He can be rated as one of the foremost junior athletes in the country from this performance, and will probably do better as he gets older. John Wright ran well to finish in 60th place, thus ensuring the Cheshire team 6th place out of a total of 35 teams from other counties. 311 runners started and from the above results, Wallasey's two runners are to be congratulated, especially White.
Today the Liverpool & District championships are being held at Port Sunlight. Changing rooms are near the entrance, and boys and youths should arrive no later than 1- 45 p.m. Juniors and Seniors by 2-15.
