Wallasey won the match with Sefton by four points. The match was very even throughout and the result very gratifying for both clubs.
Wallasey scored 36 points and Sefton 32. Wallasey results were 4 firsts-6 seconds-3 thirds and Sefton 4 firsts - 2 seconds - and 5 thirds. Sefton won the relay.
John Lynch and Frank Ledward run in the "Radcliffe 21" today. This is a killer course and if both come through, their future efforts will be more assured.
The Cheshire Championships are being held today at Stockport (Woodbank Park). Members travelling should reach the ground before 1-30 p.m. when the meeting opens. Trains from Liverpool Central leave at 10-30 and 11-30 a.m. and each journey takes 2 hours. The ground is a quarter-of-an-hour from the station.
Next Tuesday's inter-club match at Long Lane, Garston, is one which all club members should attend. The women's section is also entered and all members should meet at the Pier Head at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4.
