Wallasey Athletic Club's time trial over 3½ miles of road last Saturday demonstrated the strong running of Arthur Dinsdale, whose 19 mins., 4 secs, was the fastest time by nearly 1½ minutes.
Harold Thompson was second fastest with 20 mins., 28 secs., and the remaining six of the club team for this afternoon's Birkenhead Road Relay Race finished within a further minute, except for Denis Dickinson, who suffered from unusual lack of form. The team in order of running this Saturday will be Dinsdale, Kelly, Whitburn, Thompson, Johnson,' Foster, A. Dickinson and D. Dickinson. A record entry has been received, including Sutton Harriers, who finished third in the Manchester to Blackpool Relay Race last Saturday, and W.A.C. expect to finish in the first half-dozen.
Schoolboy runners are reminded of their cross-country championships in a fortnight's time, and schools arc asked to make their entries to R. F. Hubbard, 39 Beech Road, Birkenhead, without delay.
