The above club have had a busy time this last week. Last Saturday they held a club run from headquarters.
The day was an ideal one from a harrier's point of view, and novices should note this fact. A good course of about eight miles was gone over; the first to arrive home was A. G. .Nicholson, followed by W. S. Griffiths.
The second run of the week took place on New Year's Day, nine runners facing the elements, which were not idealistic from any point of view. A big course of about ten miles was covered by way of Bidston, Leasowe and Moreton. In the mile break home, A. G. Nicholson was again first, H. Hanmer being second. The club was pleased to have out with them Mr. J. Dixon, who was for several years captain of West Cheshire Harriers, and has since been President of the N.C.C.A.
To-day Wallasey visit West Cheshire at the Half Way House, Prenton, and will hold a friendly run. Members will meet on the Landing Stage at 2.25 p.m. for the 12.30 Birkenhead boat, taking, the Borough car for Prenton to the terminus.
