This club visited Liverpool Boundary Harriers at the latter's headquarters, Rice-lane, Walton, on Saturday last, 12th inst.
The trail left about 3.45 p.m., and covered a course of six to seven miles of very good though heavy country, the pack consisting of about 25 runners, 15 of whom were Wallasey, turning out about a quarter of an hour later. It was very evident after the first two miles that the chances for Wallasey were by no means favourable. Two of Boundary's men, Herbert and I. D. Jones, were leading the field, and eventually came in first and second respectively. On the other hand several Wallasey men were decidedly off form, particularly H. Hanmer, who gradually dropped behind, and only finished 19th instead of in the first six as had been fully expected. The result proved to be an ignominious defeat for Wallasey by the large majority of 33 points.
