Local athletes will do well to join the Wallasey Athletic Club as they are now in a position through the kindness of several patrons, to offer a challenge cup (the gift of a well known local gentleman), and a medal for the best all round man in the district. A series of long and short distance races has been arranged, and points will be given to the first six in each race, and the man who obtains the greatest number of points will be the holder of the cup for one year, and receive a gold medal. Intending competitors should become members at once in order to put in the qualifying number of runs.
