The important fixture between Boundary, Ravenhead, and Wallasey was carried out last Saturday, trail being laid over a course of eight miles.
None of the teams were at full strength. The country was in the worst imaginable state, in many places the runners getting into two or three foot of snow and slush. The finish provided a close thing, Brookes beating Large by two yards, with young Thornton a few yards off third. Jones ran into seventh place, but Wallasey's tail end let them down, the points respectively totalling 39, 44, and 48 for Boundary, Ravenhead, and Wallasey.
To-day Wallasey run Southport and Liverpool Harriers from Lamb Inn, Wavertree. Meet at Liverpool Town Hall 2-30 prompt, Next week training run over club championship course from headquarters, Fairhaven Institute, Seaview-road, Liscard.
