There was a very good muster of runners on Saturday last, when the above club held their third run of the season. The pack were under the control of the captain (A. G. Nicholson), who set a nice swinging pace.
The course was in the direction of Bidston, Upton, and Moreton a total distance of about nine miles being covered. Owing to the heavy rain during the previous week some of the country was decidedly "sloppy," but nonetheless every one of the pack thoroughly enjoyed the run. Now members were again prominent, and all were glad to see Young and Griffiths out again for the first time for two years.
To-day (Saturday) an ordinary slow run from headquarters (Fairhaven Institute, Seaview-road, Liscard) win be held, starting at 3.30 p.m., to which prospective members are heartily invited. Next week there is an inter-club run with Pembroke from Knotty Ash Hotel. Meet at the Town Hall at 2.30 p.m. prompt.
The hon. secretary and treasurer (Mr. H. R. Scoins, "Edale," Withens-lane, Liscard, will be pleased to give applicants any information with regard to the club.
