On Saturday the above club held a friendly inter-club run with the Liverpool Gymnasium Harriers from Oarside Farm.
About thirty runners started out at 3-45 and covered a course of seven to eight miles. The way was led down School-lane, and straight on across the fields round the far side of Bidston Station, then home by way of the Marshes. Much amusement was caused by the difficulty which was experienced in getting over the swollen streams, and not many arrived back with a dry skin, but this in no way lessened the enjoyment of such a run. No racing took place.
To-day Wallasey are crossing over to Fazakerley to compete with Richmond Harriers where a close contest is expected. The members will meet outside the Town Hall at 2-30.
