Services to Running - 02/11/2024
Massive congratulations to Bob and Anne Brimage on their National Volunteer Award for Services to Athletics and Running! Such a well deserved award for all the hard work and time the pair have given over many years to athletics. Bob and Anne are not only stalwarts of Wallasey AC they contribute a huge amount of time and effort officiating at races at school, local, county, regional and national level. The pair have been involved in athletics for over 50 years and they are experienced Level 4 technical officials. Bob and Anne also serve on local, regional and national committees. For numerous events their commitment spans several days. The Liverpool Cross Challenge for example has them on the course during setup, the event itself and course removal. Ten-hour days are common. Their car is often full of poles, tape and other materials for setting up courses. Bob and Anne have also encouraged other Wallasey AC members to become officials. Bob and Anne also won a regional award in September.
