Read more...		 1622 The group photograph of Homecroft Harriers was taken on 26th January 1907, shortly before amalgamation with Wallasey AC. A total of 18 runners had taken part in a race of just over 61/2 miles, won by J.B. Barley in 40 minutes and 5 seconds. Homecroft Harriers were formed in 1904 and were one of a number of Wallasey Harriers clubs. They had a strong team with headquarters at the YMCA in Manor Road. In 1908 Homecroft Harriers amalgamated with Wallasey Harriers to form the Wallasey Athletic Club

Wallasey Athletic Club members Mal Hardcastle and Ken Westall competed in two races on consecutive days under African skies recently.

Some very good performances helped Wallasey Athletic Club to an overall finishing position of fourth in the third Northern League fixture at Wigan.
