Wallasey Athletic Club holds its annual Novice Cross-Country Championship over a 5¾ miles course at Leasowe to-day.
The single lap course will start in Leasowe Road and runs via Telegraph Lane, Embankment and shore to Pasture Road, Moreton, returning down the country and a quarter mile finish on Leasowe Road. The race appears to be very open and several potential winners will be running in the medium sized field. The winner will receive the Wright Cup and one of the new Wallasey Athletic Club medals bearing the Wallasey coat-of-arms, officially approved by the Town Council. Second and third men will also receive versions of this medal.
A special coach has been engaged for the journey to Preston on the 6th December when Wallasey Athletic Club send two teams to defend the West Lancashire Novice Championship won last year.
