The above club held a friendly run last Saturday from Prenton with the Wallasey Harriers.
The course was over country in the direction of Higher Bebington, Brimstage, and Thornton, and home via Storeton, a distance of about seven miles. Twenty members of the home club and fifteen of the Wallasey Harriers ran. The West Cheshire ran well together and the placing, of the first six were as follows :- 1 A. G. Nicholson, 2 Henry Seed, 3 Jason Tennant, 4 Frank Latham, 5 W. Gullen, 6 L. Francom.
To-day the club decide their seven miles cross-country handicap from the Half-way House, Prenton, and the 1st and 2nd prizes for this race are being kindly given by two good sportsmen of the West Cheshire Harries, Messrs. James B. Wilkie and W. H. Webb. The race will start at 3.30.
