The committee of the Bootle May Day Demonstration have previously held the sports on the same day the procession and carnival, but an experiment was tried this year by running the athletic meet separately.
A Salford Harrier, D. L. Slowan (10) won the hundred comfortably couple of yards from T. G. Daley, Liverpool H. and A.C. (10¼). with Wallasey A.C. runner in C. F. Rippon (9) filling the third position.
