Wallasey Athletic Club held an ordinary run from Headquarters last Saturday. There was a very good muster, and three packs were sent out, the "slows," "mediums" and "fasts."
There was some doubt however as to whether the first pack were rightly named, as they kept up a very good pace throughout. The country was in a wretched condition owing to the rains, the marshes being especially bad.
As it goes dark so early now, members are requested to endeavour to be at Headquarters not later than 3.15, so that runs may commence prompt at 3.30 p.m.
To-day a visit is to be paid to Ravenhead Harriers at St. Helens (2.20 train from Lime-street to Thatto Heath). Next week a team is to be sent to take paid in the Five Miles' Novice Team Race, under the auspices of Liverpool & District Cross-country Association, at Liverpool Boundary's Headquarters at Walton. For those not taking part in this there will be an ordinary run from Headquarters commencing at 3.30 prompt.
