The inaugural run of the above club was held on Saturday from the new head-quarters, the Ship Inn, Breck Road, Wallasey.
Almost twenty turned out in two packs, the distance covered being about seven miles. The run was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, the day being ideal, with just that exhilarating touch of sharpness in the air which is so keenly appreciated by the cross-country man.
Today (Saturday) is the Monstre meet at Sacred Heart Schoolroom, Borough Road, St. Helens. Meet at Bookstall, Lime Street Station at 2:10. The train leaves at 2:20, the fare being 1s. 3d. return. It is hoped that all the members will endeavour to turn out, but for those who cannot possibly get to St. Helens there will be a run from headquarters at 3:30. Any who would like either to join the club or turn out for one afternoon will be most heartily welcomed.
New members are still coming in, and those who have not yet made up their minds whether to join or not would do well to write to or call on the hon. secretary, Peter Scott, 103, Manor Road, Liscard, who will he most pleased to give any information about the sport.
