The Merseyside County Championships took place at Arrowe Park in mild conditions. Plenty of mud and standing water challenged the athletes. The men finished fourth on the day. The men's counters were Karl Pickstock (22nd), Greg Jones (28th), Mike Green (30th), John Armstrong (36th), Tony Barbat (41st) and Steve Smith (55th). The ladies finished 5th with Sallie Holt (11th), Kim McEneany (12th), Jessica Lovell (14th) and Julie Barbat (21st) the counters. Sallie Holt won a bronze medal for third V35.
