A sunny evening greeted Wallasey members attempting the 5 mile race around Birkenhead Park. The course was reverted to the original version from when the race first started and consisted of three laps around the cricket ground. A slideshow of the event can be seen here. Michael Stanley led the team home with an impressive 28:49 after a long absence through injury. Mike was also first in his age category (over 45 men), as was John Cottrell (over 60 men) and Pete Lonsdale (over 65 men). Connor McArdle produced a good performance to finish 7th in the under 15 race.
