The Flora London Marathon was run two weeks later than last year and the temperature on the day was a warm 18C. Phil Cuthbert was the first Wallasey runner to finish completing the course in a good time of 03:33:41. Alison Engle set herself a target of four and a half hours and was pleased to achieve it with her run of 04:30:41. Colin Palmer was unfortunately unable to finish after being on course for a fast time.
