Julie and Tony Barbat from Wallasey A.C. flew to Majorca to compete in the Pollensa Half Marathon. Julie was running her first half marathon and collected second prize in her age category (W45), finishing the course in 01:57:42. Tony missed a personal best by 10 seconds (01:21:31) but managed to pick up first prize in the over 45 male category. Julie said "I was nervous before the race started but once it was underway I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the locals got behind us and cheered us all the way to the finish". Tony said " The race was excellently organised and it was a pleasure to participate in".
