Teams from Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside took part in the North West Road Relays on Saturday 18th September. The excellent facilities at Leigh Harriers Athletic Club were the venue for the race. Two 1 ½ mile laps which started and finished on the running track were required to be completed by each of the 4 runners. Wallasey A.C. were only competing against Merseyside clubs and Greg Jones led the team off and returned in 10th place in 16:27 a great run. Matt Williams set off second and completed the course in 17:37 dropping one place. Third runner was Connor McArdle who gained back one place and crossed the line in 17:08.
