Wallasey A.C. had a large contingent of 14 runners at the Rotary 10k. The race organised by the Rotary Club in conjunction with Wallasey Athletic Club was run along the embankment at Leasowe to Harrison Drive, Wallasey and back, the race attracted 86 runners. The runners had to face a strong headwind on the return. First Wallasey runner home was Greg Jones in an excellent 3rd place in a time of 36:59, Sallie Holt ran well and was first lady for Wallasey and 2nd overall lady in 43.22. Age category wins were recorded by Lisa Carney and Di McArdle. Both David and Hilary Engwall completed their first 10k.
