Wallasey AC had 6 representatives at the Virgin London Marathon. First home was Richard Webster in an excellent time of 02:49 and a personal best. Richard said about the race "Lovely sunny day for a marathon 2.49.40 very happy with that another PB". Also in personal best shape was Colin Palmer who returned in 03:02:30, Richard Saunders ran a 3:40. Sallie Holt posted a PB taking 4 minutes off her time at Liverpool and Lisa Carney came home in 04:10. Pete Ashton ran his first marathon in 04:34 and Dorothy Smith also set a lifetime best with a 05:13 clocking. Well done to all runners.
