Many of Wallasey AC's runners headed to Liverpool for the Tunnel 10k. Conditions were warm and the sun shone as the race finished along the promenade at New Brighton. The race includes a 1 mile uphill section on the exit from the tunnel which makes it difficult to achieve a personal best. First home was Greg Jones in a creditable 8th place in 35:05, a fine time on the course. Greg was followed home by Peter Bird who returned in 37:36. Dorothy Smith had the best age category result coming in second.
