260 runners completed the Birkenhead Park 5 mile race on a warm and sunny evening. The club had a total of 26 runners in the 4 lap race, Greg Jones was first home in an excellent 27:47 for 7th place. Not far behind him was Joe Boden in 28:17 in 13th place, also dipping under 30 minutes was Pete Bird in 29:30 (19th).
