Ray Clarke led the Wallasey AC runners home in the Wirral Half Marathon, Ray completed the course in 01:24:55 for 19th place. Vicky led the ladies in 01:39:43 and 19th lady. Rachel Saunders won her age category. The course was affected by the Tower Road bridge closures, the start (and finish) was on Coastal Drive and runners headed out along the waterfront promenade as far as Seacombe Ferry and then headed back toward New Brighton. At the end of the promenade runners followed the course as in previous years by passing along the access road to Fort Perch Rock, then the full length of Ian Fraser Walk and continued toward the Leasowe Lighthouse, turning on to Leasowe Road by the Leasowe Castle Hotel.
