The L2M Ultra Double is a 100 Mile Liverpool to Manchester Out and Back Ultra Marathon following the Trans-Pennine Trail and the River Mersey. Martin Connell finished 13 of the 34 runners that completed the gruelling course. Martin was raising money for charity and had to overcome several problems on the day and admitted to feeling "weepy, emotionally destroyed and happy runner" at the finish.
