The L2M Ultra started in cold, wet and windy conditions in the Albert Dock, the 50 mile Ultra-Marathon followed the Trans-Pennine Trail and the River Mersey from Liverpool to Manchester. John Bassett and Dermot Ferguson battled bravely and finished the race in 09:13 and 12:30 respectively.
