The sixth running of the Southport Half Marathon took place in sweltering conditions, the course included Lord Street in the town centre and a start/finish area was in Victoria Park. The race was the first in the Tour of Merseyside. Jay Walker was first male for the club in 01:19 in tenth place, Jo Irvin was ninth lady in 01:37.
