The Southport Half Marathon started in Victoria Park and then headed north along Lord Street to the beautiful Hesketh Park (home of Southport parkrun) and then passed the Golf Club before returning to the coast and heading south towards the Marine Lake, then along Promenade and under the Pier, through Kings Gardens, around the Marine Lake and back to the coast via the lakeside pathway before heading south again and finished in Victoria Park. This race was the first on the Tour of Mersseyside, Jay Walker made a strong start with 12th in 01:18:39. First lady for the club was Jan McArd in 01:53:43
