The 2022 City of Newport Half Marathon sponsored by Admiral Insurance Group started on Usk Way near the University of South Wales. The route then went out to Caerleon before heading back along the boardwalk into the city centre. The last 3 miles were on the river paths and the SDR bridge. Tim Plested and Alison Engle made the trip to Wales to compete and returned in 01:58 and 02:12 respectively.
