Michelle Alty ran the Accrington 10k in memory of her father John Alty who was a former chairman of Accrington Stanley FC. Michelle completed the 10k course in 48:17 for an age category win and said "Beyond delighted that we ran right past the ground. Loved everything about this race. It's on the racing calendar!"
