The Striders Trail Five, organised by St. Helens Striders, started and finished at the Sankey Valley Visitors Centre and took place on paths and trails around St. Helens. Tim Plested and Alison Engle completed the race in 43:43 and 50:17 respectively. After the race Tim said "What a fantastic event, never seen so many marshalls on a course before. Support was fantastic."
