Once again high temperatures and humidity slowed the runners during the second running of the Rotary Club 10k. The race organised by the Rotary Club in conjunction with Wallasey Athletic Club was run along the embankment at Leasowe to Harrison Drive, Wallasey and back, the race attracted 155 runners. Wallasey A.C. had a good turnout with 21 runners taking part. First Wallasey runner home was Greg Jones in an excellent 2nd place in a time of 36:40, Sallie Holt was first lady for Wallasey and 4th overall lady in 47.32, Sallie also won her age category.
